Abstract:

As the Powerpc processor is embedded in the virtex5 FPGAs by Xilinx Company,the adding of embedded operating system VxWorks makes it possible to create a more complicated embedded platform.The interrupt handling mechanism provided by VxWorks is of high performance in reducing latency,which is accorded with the real time requirement.In this paper,the interrupt handling mechanism based on Powerpc440 processor is analyzed.Then,the process of interrupt handling programming is described in detail.
