Abstract:

In the process of language research,language classification and induction (according to one or more attributes or characteristics of a language) is a necessary part of and an effective method for observing and capturing the phenomenon and rules of language.To classify a language is also a precious step to render and portray itself in the GIS system.The classification system designed by the author is a sub-module of Chinese dialect geography information system,which has a general adaptability to various follow-up classifications.This paper,on the basis of the Chinese dialect phonetic system,discusses how to shift the computer technology into a powerful tool on the language research in terms of language features and language rules.The system helps language researchers in classifying languages fast and efficiently.
