Multi-scale edge detection of the image based on the interval biorthogonal wavelet

摘要: 对区间双正交小波所具有的多尺度边缘提取能力进行了理论分析,用消失矩为3的[0,1]区间上的双正交滤波器对图像进行了小波变换,提出了沿幅角方向确定局部极大值的小波边缘检测算法.仿真结果表明,区间双正交小波比Daubechies正交小波和双正交小波更适宜图像的边缘检测.

Abstract: Th ability of the interval biorthogonal wavelet to detect the multi-scale edge is theoretically analyzed. The wavelet transform of the image is performed by the biorthogonal wavelet with the vanishing moments N=N(~)=3 in the interval [0,1]. Then a multi-scale edge detection algorithm of the wavelet is proposed to obtain the local maxima along the direction given by the angle image. Simulation results show that teh biorthogonal wavelet in the interval is more suitable for the edge detection of images than both Daubechies' biorthogonal wavelet and orthogonal wavelet.
