Abstract: A simple and systematic derivation of anisotropic perfectly matched layer(APML) for the finite-difference time-domain(FDTD) method in generalized orghogonal coordinates(GOC) is presented. The derivation is based on the complex coordinate stretching approach. Through mapping matrix presentation of Maxwell's equations in a complex coordinate system into the real one, the constitutive tensor of this APML is simply obtained from teh Lame coefficients of the coordinate. Numerical results illustrate the effectivenss of absorbing in this APML.
