Abstract: This paper proposes a digital predistorter which can compensate nonlinearity and memory effects of power amplifier in a communication system, which consists of an adaptive equalizer and a memoryless predistorter based on polyaminals. The memoryless predistorter is used for compensating nonlinearity, whose parameters are estimated by using a narrowband training sequence, while the equalizer is used for compensating memory effects, whose parameters are iteratively updated by means of an adaptive algorithm. Because nonlinearity and memory effects are pocessed seperately, the structure of the predistorter and its adaptive algorithms are much simpler than those of the conventional one. Simulation results show that the predistorter can correct the signal distortion effectively caused by nonlinearity and memory effects of power amplifiers.
