Abstract: A generalized H2 controller designed for discrete-time piecewise systems is presented based on a piecewise Lyapunov function. The basic idea of the proposed approach is to construct a dynamic output feedback controller that can be used to establish global stability with generalized H2 performance for the resulting closed-loop system. A sufficient condition of global stability with generalized H2 performance is also given via linear matrix inequality theory.
