Abstract: A high-efficient coded cooperative (CC) scheme with high-order constellations is proposed. In this scheme, encoded bits of the user or the partner are partitioned, bit interleaved, mapped on a high-order two-dimentional constellation and then transmitted on the allocated time slots. The pairwire error probability over slow-fading Rayleigh channels are derived. Both theoretical analysis and simulations show that the coded cooperation with high-order constellations can achieve full diversity with an improved spectrum effciency over slow-fading Rayleigh channels.

Key words: coded cooperation, pairwise error probability, diversity, high-order two-dimensional constellation, bit interleaver
