Abstract: This paper presents a framework for managing the self-organized network. The framework uses hierarchical clustering of nodes to reduce the number of messages exchanged between the manager and the agents. We give a way for the manager to appoint a node as a new cluster head to manage its responsive domain in the Ad Hoc network and to assign their management tasks dynamically. Active clustering enables the network to keep track of varied network topology. These technologies are compatible with SNMP and are of real usable value.

Key words: self-organized network management, mobile agent, cluster head, script MIB
