Abstract: In order to suppress wideband interference and make pattern null in the direction of interference, a new wideband transmitting beamforming method for a large scanning angle is presented. The method transmits a narrowband signal to estimate the direction of the target and interference using the MUSIC method and obtain the narrowband weight vector. The wideband optimal weight is obtained by combining the narrowband weight vector and wideband phase compensation weight. The optimal weight can guarantee the high-resolution of the trnasmitting signal and make pattern null. Finally, the computer simulation illustrates the good performance of our method.
