DBS imaging and GMTI in a wideband airborne mechanic scanning radar

Abstract: The principle for choosing the coherent processing number under mechanic scanning mode and a refined DBS imaging method incorporating the range migration correction are presented, which can effectively improve the resolution of a DBS image. Based on the characteristic that the echo of the moving target is modulated by the antenna pattern, a novel method combining the sub-aperture detecting with the sliding window detection is also proposed, thus proper location can be achieved. The processing results of real radar data prove its validity.
