Abstract: A novel medium access control protocol is presented for the mobile Ad Hoc with multiple channels. In this protocol, all nodes are clustered into several subnets and it is possible for a node to belong to more than one subnet. Different subnets are in different channels. In each subnet, a token is used to control the nodes transmited in turn, which can solve the problem of transmitting collisions. The quality of service (QoS) for real-time traffic is guaranteed by limiting the maximum number of nodes in each subnet. Besides these, the token dynamic transfer algorithm is proposed which can adaptively choose a path to transfer the token, so it has the ability to adapt the dynamic network topology and simplifies the process of token maintenance.
