Abstract:

A bandgap reference circuit with an adjustable output voltage is presented. The circuit is concise and simple to implement and its power dissipation is low. The temperature characteristic is improved significantly by employing 2nd order curvature compensation. Also the additional miller capacitors optimize the loop stability. Hspice simulation has been done by the 0.6μm CMOS process for validation. The results show that the achieved temperature coefficient of 0.8V reference is 6.1×10-6/℃ over -40~120℃ and that the PSRR is -82dB at a low frequency. The quiescent current is less than 6.5μA.
