Abstract: Th turbo product coded modulation based on differential detection(DD-TPCM) is presented. The decoding of DD-TPCM does not need any channel state information in additive white Gaussian noise channels and flat Rayleigh-fading channels. The simulation resdults show that the DD-TPCM based on QDPSK, 8DPSK and 16DAPSK has no error floor in the flat fading channel with the fading factor of 0.03. The performance of DD-TPCM is better than that of trellis coded modulation in flat Rayleigh-fading channels.
