Abstract:

This paper analyzes the working principle of DHCP,sums up the location of DHCP server in the network,and describes the 80/20 rule commonly used for IP network.The building of network environment by combining MSR30-20 and VPC Win03,along with the presentation of network topology,achieves the relay agent function of router and DHCP server function of virtual Win03.The topological structure overcomes the shortcoming of experimental environment,namely only with XP system but without Win03 system,and makes up for the deficiency,namely the separate explanation of router and Win03 DHCP functions in the process of teaching.Theoretical analysis and verified results proves the feasibility of DHCP configuration relay agent.
