基于STL模型的模具型腔分割算法研究及应用

Research and Application of Mold Cavity Segmentation Algorithm Based on STL Model

摘要:

文中以大型混凝土铸件为研究对象,针对人工设计多个模具部件时效率较低的问题,提出一种基于STL模型的型腔分割算法。通过改变STL模型三角面片的方向,将大型构件的STL模型转为模具型腔的STL模型。该算法将模具型腔STL模型数据分类,以三角形面片的法向矢量为判定条件,将同属一个型面的面片分类保存到同一个型面STL模型,从而将一个模具型腔的STL模型分为数个型面STL模型,实现了模具型腔的分割。最后通过两个典型案例中算法设计时间和人工设计时间的对比,证明该算法缩短了模具的设计时间,提高了效率,具有可行性。

Abstract:

In this paper, a large concrete casting was taken as the research object, and a STL model based cavity segmentation algorithm was proposed to solve the problem of low efficiency of artificial design of multiple parts. By changing the direction of the triangular patch of the STL model, this paper transformed the STL model of the large component into the STL model of the mold cavity. This algorithm classified the mold cavity STL model data, and uses the normal vector of the triangular face as the judging condition. Then this algorithm classified the face slices of the same type surface to a same STL model. Thus, the STL model of a mold cavity was divided into several surface STL models, and the mold cavity was segmented. Finally, it was proved that the algorithm shortens the design time and improves the efficiency, and proved that the algorithm is feasible, by comparing the design time of two typical algorithms and the time of artificial design.
